Downtown Knoxville Engagement Photography Session | Andrew & Sarah

Meet Andrew & Sarah. They got engaged in October at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal. How awesome is that? And their wedding is going to have some Harry Potter touches as well. We did a 2 part engagement session for them. The first was a downtown Knoxville engagement photography session where we explored Gay Street, Krutch Park & Market Square.

Andrew & Sarah have amazing chemistry and obviously have a ton of fun together!

We just had to get a photo in front of the iconic Tennessee Theatre! I’m pretty sure it’s a must have photo if you do a downtown Knoxville engagement photography session!

Then we went over to Krutch Park where we had perfect light and were very excited to see that the fall colors were hanging on even though it was the beginning of December!

From there we walked over to Market Square and found a secluded spot to continue our session. Sarah looked absolutely amazing. I just love her hair!

We left that spot and went to walk around Market Square some more. The ice skating rink was up. They would have loved to do some photos ice skating, but since it wasn’t open, we improvised with this mural instead! I love working with fun couples like this!

For Part 2 of their engagement session we went to Andrew’s family’s property in Seymour, TN. It was so beautiful there, with huge fields, hay bales & all the lovely fall colors on the trees! And of course we had to include their 2 dogs in their engagement session!

Look at Sarah’s gorgeous ring!

We brought a blanket along, and they sat and relaxed together for a bit and while I captured photos from many different angle.

I always like to get individual photos. Sarah ran to grab her hat and while she was gone, Andrew did this pose!

I loved photographing this 2 part engagement session for Andrew & Sarah! Starting with the downtown Knoxville engagement photography session & ending at the family property gave us beautiful backdrops and a great variety!

We’re looking forward to photographing their wedding in November!

Baby Boy Newborn Session in Knoxville | Ayden

We’ve documented many different parts of Ayden’s life already, even though he’s only 2 weeks old! We began with the pregnancy announcement, then did a maternity session. Right after he was born we did a Fresh 48 session and now we have this baby boy newborn session!

Ayden is so adorable! He didn’t want to miss out on anything and was awake during most of the session, but he was happy and that gave us a chance to see his eyes!

We started the session with Ayden laying in his crib. Isn’t his bedding so cute!

Ayden started getting a little fussy, so his mommy picked him up and rocked him for a few minutes. These quiet moments of just mom and baby are some of my favorites during lifestyle newborn sessions.

Ayden was ready to eat, so Jessica nursed him. Once he was nice and calm, big sister Addy came in and we got some adorable sibling photos! She is so excited to be a big sister.

Then Addy hopped up in the glider so that she could hold her new baby brother.

Then we had daddy come in and hold his new baby boy. I always love seeing the tenderness fathers have when holding newborns, and they almost always do something goofy with them too!

After that we did some family photos with everyone sitting in the floor of the nursery. Brad was being silly, so everyone joined in!

Then I moved in closer to get some details, like Addy kissing Ayden on the head.

Addy made it clear that she needed a break from photos, so she went to play while we did some pictures of mommy, daddy and baby Ayden. You can see how much they adore him.

After this we moved into the living room. They were all able to relax together and I just documented the moments as they happened.

I love capturing the way that newborn babies move. Everything they do is just so cute! I especially love their big yawns and dramatic stretches.

This baby boy newborn session was wonderful. Ayden was so content most of the time. He really is a little bundle of joy, you can just see how much joy he brings his family by the way they look at him.

Lifestyle Newborn Sessions are one of our favorite things to photograph! A fresh, cuddly little baby in his natural space that he’s used to is the best place to photograph them. It’s also easier on the family to not have to leave the house.

A Baby Bump in Fall | Knoxville Maternity Photographer

I am Bronwyn Blodgett of Blodgett Family Photography. I am a Knoxville Maternity Photographer. Maternity Sessions are among my favorite kinds of sessions to do, and I think that maternity photos are very important. I’m always so excited when a mommy-to-be chooses me to be their Knoxville Maternity Photographer. There’s something so very special about maternity photos.

This is the third session that I have done for the Thompson’s! We started with their pregnancy announcement & family photos in the Spring. Then we did some fun Princess photos for Addy’s birthday. Jessica was 36 weeks pregnant when we did this maternity session and it’s a good thing we did them because she went into labor about a week later! That’s why I always recommend having your maternity photos done between 30-36 weeks, you just never know when your baby will decide to come.

We started their Maternity session down by the French Broad River. It was a beautiful fall day with just a little bit of chill in the air. Definitely the perfect weather to do maternity photos!

We moved up to the hill where there was some beautiful light peeking through the trees and a hint of fall colors. A dog decided to join us, he was very friendly, and Brad & Addy just had to have a picture with him! If you look closely you can see him photobombing in the background of a lot of the photos!

Jessica picked the perfect clothes for her family and looked beautiful in her olive green dress. My favorite photos of a family are always the candid ones, the ones with genuine smiles, where everyone is just happy and having fun together. Addy has the cutest dimples and is always laughing at something her daddy, Brad, is doing!

Brad & Addy went down the hill and played frisbee together for a few minutes while I took some special photos of Jessica.

Then I had Brad come back and took some pictures with just the two of them. I always think it’s important to get some photos of the parents alone together. I like to see the way that couples look at each other, the way they touch, and the way they laugh together.

After this we went down to the pond. We all love the beautiful willow trees that grow around the pond and knew we wanted to do some photos down there.

Addy has been so excited about her new baby brother! She couldn’t wait for him to be here so she could hold him.

Then we got a couple more family photos as the sun was going down. Addy loves her parents and you can definitely see the love they have for her.

I’m so glad that we were able to get these maternity photos done in time! I love this family and am super excited to be doing baby Ayden’s newborn pictures this afternoon! You can see his Fresh 48 photos here.

I love being a Knoxville Maternity Photographer. If you’re pregnant, Contact Me to book a maternity session! You’ll never regret having these photos done, but you probably will regret it if you don’t. I serve the Knoxville, Maryville, Seymour & Sevier County Area.

Gingerbread House Decorating | Knoxville Documentary Photography

Every year, our extended family comes together during the Christmas season. We do all sorts of fun things together and just love this time of year. We’re all pretty crazy about Christmas, and you can usually find that we all have decorations up in the middle of November. Last year we decided to all get together to decorate gingerbread houses. It was so much fun! From our littlest, who was almost 2 years old, to our grandparents, everyone had a great time.

Gingerbread House Decorating is a favorite family tradition. We definitely recommend getting the pre-made houses and then just decorating them. It can be difficult and frustrating trying to put them together. There are so many fun variations and themes of Gingerbread houses too!

We will certainly cherish these memories of Gingerbread House decorating and these photos for years to come. And we even have this awesome video…I think everyone was nibbling on the candy while they decorated!
