Before we get to these Fresh 48 photos, I want to tell you a little story.
We met the Thompson’s on a rainy day back in the Spring of 2016. We walked outside and were about to hop in the car to go shopping when we saw them trying to pull their moving truck in next door. Instead of going shopping, we stayed to help them move in. Our boys and Addy played together, me and Jessica chatted, and Steve & Brad moved all their stuff in. And that was the start of our friendship.
About 1 year later, I got to photograph their pregnancy announcement. We did a princess session for Addy’s birthday. Then we did their maternity photos. And there have been countless photos of our kids playing together.
And now we get to add another to the photos because baby Ayden is here! His Fresh 48 photos didn’t quite go as planned though. I planned on doing the photo session and then staying and hanging out for a bit with them at the hospital, so I brought my 2 month old along. When I arrived the staff wouldn’t let me come back with McKellen; it was hospital policy to not let any children (except siblings) into the Maternity wing. None of us had any idea about this policy!
So Brad came out and held McKellen while I went in and did a quick little mini Fresh 48 session of Jessica, Addy & Ayden. I so wish that Brad could have been in these photos too, but we’ll get plenty of photos of the whole family during the newborn session later this week.
Ayden’s Fresh 48 Photos
Ayden is so cute and has some especially adorable chubby cheeks! He slept the whole time I was there and never made a peep! Jessica says he looks so much like Addy did as a newborn.
Addy stayed with us while her baby brother was being born. She was so excited and just couldn’t wait to see him and hold him! She is definitely a great big sister already. Addy also loves the camera and was excited for this fresh 48 session!
Sweet little newborn toes are one of my favorite things!
I loved getting to do this Fresh 48 Session! I can’t wait to see this boy grow and photograph him more over the next year!
